Who the specialist will work with
The exisiting DWP consists of a mix of DWP colleagues & third party resources.
What the specialist will work on
The Designer will work on the DWP Customer View Project. The Customer View Project is an Online Self Service Interface making it wasy for customers to self serve enquiries.
WORK SETUP
Address where the work will take place
The Services will be aligned to a DWP Technology Hub (to include Manchester, Newcastle, London, Leeds or Blackpool) as agreed prior to commencement of each service, the majority of the DWP Digital Workforce are currently working from home and this is anticipated to continue.
Working arrangements
2 Days at a DWP Technology Hub & 3 Days working from home.
Security clearance
Supplier will be subject to the Department Security Standards and will be BPSS cleared as a minimum prior to commencement of the contract.

  • Experience of working to GDS principles
  • Experience of delivering agile methodology in a fast paced, evolving environment
  • Experience of simplifying technical information for non technical audiences
  • Experience of using research data and analytics to understand user needs
  • Experience of applying technical knowledge to create and design workable prototypes
  • Experience of designing products with accessibility needs in mind
  • Familiarity with WCAG 2.1 guidelines and designing to meet AA standards
  • Experience of working within the Public Sector environment
