Summary of the work
From April’22, DWP’s bulk printing fulfilment needs will be served under the new Printed Customer Communications (PCC) contract. DWP will need to assure that the transition of services/responsibilities from incumbent supplier is conducted as best as possible.

ABOUT THE WORK
Early market engagement
Who the specialist will work with
The Technical Lead will work alongside the Technical Architect whilst reporting in to the Delivery Lead for the Printed Customer Communications Project.
What the specialist will work on
• Engage in low level architecture and environment related discussions with print supplier (covering solution, technical, security)• Review technical/solution/printing environment setup proposals from print supplier• Support PCC project with DWP Digital Domain Architecture (DDA) governance process requirements• Assist Technical Architect and Test Lead with Non-Functional Testing scoping/testing review assurance• Assist Security Architect with low level activities driven out as a result of further discussions etc• Assist Technical Architect in the assurance of the handling of non-standard print request fulfilment (Legacy reports, alternative formats, pre-printed stationary, envelopes)

Working arrangements
The individual will be based at the DWP Longbenton site 2 days of the week aligned to the DWP Hybrid working policy. Expenses incurred for hybrid working will not be reimbursed.
Security clearance
The Technical Lead will require a BPSS Clearance
