Document architectural designs. Provide ongoing skills transfer to DWP staff. New API endpoints to support NHS prescription exemption and healthy start. New management tooling to support deployments, user authentication and monitoring. New services for data scientists & data analysts. Establish processes to ensure quality and security assurances during code integration.

ABOUT THE WORK

Who the specialist will work with
Alongside DWP team and other suppliers already in the Dataworks team. 3rd party auditors (e.g. ITHC provider) DWP digital SRE team (for handover of services for them to support) Stakeholders (e.g. UCFS, analyst community)
What the specialist will work on
Data ingestion from Universal Credit Full Service, to Dataworks New AWS Data Platform, Claimant API to support NHS prescription exemption and healthy start services

Address where the work will take place
DWP Offices - Quarry House, Leeds, LS27UA
Working arrangements
Felxible working, at the discretion of the supplier to deliver the service. Some travel to other sites may be required in line with DWP travel and expense policy.

  • Demonstrate extensive knowledge of working with the AWS cloud platform within the last 2 years
  • Demonstrate experience of using Infrastructure as Code to provision and manage any cloud infrastructure using terraform within the last 2 years
  • Demonstrate experience of using Git and GitHub, GitLab or Bitbucket within the last 2 years
  • Demonstrate knowledge of test and behavioural driven development (TDD and BDD) within the last 2 years
  • Demonstrate extensive knowledge of continuous integration and continuous deployment within the last 2 years
  • Demonstrate experience of using ConcourseCI to provide continuous integration and continuous deployment within the last 2 years
  • Demonstrate extensive knowledge of AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM) within the last 2 years
  • Demonstrate experience of using AWS CloudWatch within the last 2 years
  • Demonstrate experience of using AWS S3 (Simple Storage Service) within the last 2 years
