Who the specialist will work with |
The resource will work with the existing DWP BPS Delivery Team. This team has a Lead Technical Delivery Manager, Design Lead, Technical Architect and Javascript, Python and COBOL Developers. |
What the specialist will work on |
Python developer responsible for the back-end tooling development work for the BPS Migration Service, specifically the generators that generate metadata for the Configurator utility to use and code from metadata that the Configurator utility has generated. The Configurator allows end consumers to select data items from screens, database or files within legacy applications for migration onto replacement systems (for example the 'Get Your State Pension' service).Will also provide support, technical guidance and help to implement development best practices. This will include coaching, mentoring and supporting team members. |

Working arrangements |
Specialist will work 5 working days per week with a hybrid working arrangement incorporating remote and office working. Attendance on site 40% of the specialist's time is a mandatory requirement. |

All suppliers must be SC Government cleared and On-Shore. |
Additional terms and conditions |
It is essential that the Department (DWP) holds copies of and rights to all source code developed and accompanying intellectual property rights to the code to develop further or make changes as it sees fit. |
