Who the specialist will work with
The Specialist will work directly with the SISC Project team (including Architecture) and the Staff Security and Identity Management (SSIM) team responsible for the delivery of the new AD and migration of Windows 10 users and devices between domains. Resource will also be required to engage with BAU support teams to discuss and plan subsequent application and infrastructure migrations.
What the specialist will work on
Staff Identity and Security Controls (SISC) project, requires a skilled, Migrations Technical Lead to assist with planning/coordination of AD migration workstreams including:• Mass migration of Windows 10 users/devices • Migration of all other services application and Infrastructure including (but not limited to) DNS/ DHCP/EPO (AV)/Exchange/Monitoring/Printing/Fileshares, plus underlying hosting platforms to new AD.The Specialist will be required to work with Microsoft Windows Server platforms (2012R2 or newer) and Microsoft AD/AAD (hybrid), have good knowledge/experience of other technologies such as SCCM/Microsoft PKI/SQL Server/SharePoint and legacy applications to coordinate migration planning activities with support of SME’s from BAU application/Infrastructure teams.
WORK SETUP
Address where the work will take place
The work will take place in DVLA offices in Swansea (DVLA, Morriston, Swansea & DVLA, RLDC, Swansea), however considering the current COVID-19 outbreak and in line with Government guidance in relation to the COVID-19 pandemic, supplier resource will work remotely (within the UK). At the point where ‘working from home’ restrictions are lifted the supplier resource could be required to work onsite at the DVLA’s Swansea offices. This will be agreed within further Statement of Work iterations.
Working arrangements
Full Time, 5 days a week.The charging mechanism in place for the Call-Off Contract and any agreed Statements of Work will be Time & Materials. Suppliers shall provide transparency to the Buyer on the rates paid to resources & any third-parties in the supply-chain on request. Where applicable expenses shall be submitted in line with the Buyers Standard T&S policy and agreed in advance.Statements of Work will be agreed and signed off by Delivery Manager throughout the contract duration.
Security clearance
Due to the nature of the content and configuration SC Clearance is a mandatory requirement (5-years residency required for SC).

Supply of resource: the off-payroll rules will apply to any workers engaged through a qualifying intermediary, such as their own limited company.

EXPERIENCE
Essential skills and experience
  • Provide demonstrable evidence and experience in delivering large scale Active Directory migrations (including Users, Clients, Servers, and Services)
  • Provide demonstrable evidence and experience working with SCCM Task Sequences, software configurations and deployment tasks, EPO, DNS,DHCP,SQL and PKI experience
  • Provide demonstrable evidence and experience working with Power Shell and scripting languages to deliver Windows client and user migrations
  • Provide demonstrable evidence and experience working with Active Directory and Group Policy related to Windows 10 client and user migrations
  • Provide demonstrable evidence of supporting and reporting on large scale migrations for tracking progress and highlighting risks and delays
  • Provide demonstrable evidence of application and acceptance testing, defect reporting and tracking of problems
  • Provide demonstrable evidence of providing technical documentation and building scripts to support all applications and configurations
Nice-to-have skills and experience
  • Provide demonstrable evidence and experience of MS exchange both onsite and online
  • Provide demonstrable evidence and experience of administrating the incident and change management functions in Service Now, Provide one example
