ABOUT THE WORK

Who the specialist will work with
Successful appointee will work closely with a programme team comprising of project and programme management staff and subject matter experts in areas such as Supplier Engagement.
What the specialist will work on
1 - To develop and approve national Standards for key enablers including Product, Place, Patient, Procedure, Staff and Equipment. 2 - To communicate the Standards requirements to NHS Scotland, suppliers, system providers and central bodies. 3 - To develop and agree an implementation approach for each component part of the National Standards.
WORK SETUP
Address where the work will take place
Successful appointee will be expected to attend some meetings in person however it is expected that the majority of time will be spent working from home.
Working arrangements
Successful appointee will be expected to work 3 days a week (pattern to be discussed and agreed upon appointment) and will lead the Standards workstream, chair workstream meetings with stakeholders, engage with the wider team to ensure consistency and transparency of approach.

EXPERIENCE
Essential skills and experience
  • Have experience of implementing GS1 Standards within a Healthcare Environment
  • Have experience of developing GS1 Standards in collaboration with Senior Stakeholders
  • Have knowledge of procurement systems and processes
  • Have experience of delivering large scale programmes of change at a national or regional level
Nice-to-have skills and experience
  • Provide evidence of delivering complex programmes of work at scale
  • Provide evidence of applying recognised change methodologies such as Managing Successful Programmes (MSP)
