The specialist will be an experienced Comms & Engagement lead capable of working in a matrix environment to understand user needs, and work collaboratively to drive stakeholder engagement and design and drive clear, compelling and impactful communications campaigns.

ABOUT THE WORK
Early market engagement
Who the specialist will work with
The specialist will work with stakeholders across Technology Services including Product Owners and Delivery teams. Within the team they will work with Digital Engagement Managers, Comms teams, Content Designers and Delivery Managers.
What the specialist will work on
The Engagement Lead is responsible for engagement with stakeholders (users, business staff, project teams, etc.) related to the implementation and adoption of ServiceNow projects. They deliver internal information, working with the project team, according to a communications & engagement plan to prepare DWP for new/changes to ServiceNow platform and functionality. The specialist will develop and implement plans to provide project information and status updates to project sponsors. They will ensure the development, distribution, maintenance, evaluation communications and act as change champion for DWP Place initiatives.
WORK SETUP
Address where the work will take place
Primarily at the DWP Digital Corporate Hub2- St Peters Square, Manchester - although there may be a requirement to work from other DWP locations in the North West.
Working arrangements
Specialist will work a minimum of 40% of their time (as directed by line management) on site at the Manchester Hub. The specialist will be required to be online between the hours of 8:00AM - 17:00PM Monday to Friday
Security clearance
All suppliers must BPSS cleared and On-Shore

EXPERIENCE
Essential skills and experience
  • Awareness of the PROSCI change management framework including comms and engagement approach
  • Experience using communication creations tools e.g. infographics, video making tools
  • Good knowledge of using MS suite essential (.e.g PowerPoint, excel, word, Teams etc.)
  • Understanding of accessibility standards and experience in crafting accessible communications
  • Ability to work with and build relationships with different stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership for deliverables
  • Experience having worked with Executive level stakeholders and crafting of strategic messages
  • Experience working with ServiceNow ITSM and HRSD module preferred
  • Superb communication and presentation skills
  • Develop a Communications Strategy to provide project information and status updates to project sponsors, the extended project team, directly and indirectly impacted stakeholders and the users
  • Establish and ensure the development, distribution, maintenance, evaluation and improvement of all communications throughout the duration of the project
  • Ongoing engagement with impacted stakeholders, project overviews and demonstrations
  • Identify and work with change champion network
  • Develop text, illustrations, infographics and video to enhance comprehension and adoption of the organizational changes by the users
  • Define KPIs / Surveys for communication efficiency and impact
  • Monitor KPIs and reports to the Change Enablement Lead, Stakeholders and Process Owners
Nice-to-have skills and experience
  • Demonstrate experience of working in a large scale organisation and/or Government or Public Sector
  • Digital Workplace experience
