The specialist will be an experienced Comms & Engagement lead capable of working in a matrix environment to understand user needs, and work collaboratively to drive stakeholder engagement and design and drive clear, compelling and impactful communications campaigns.

ABOUT THE WORK

Who the specialist will work with
The specialist will work with stakeholders across Technology Services including Product Owners and Delivery teams. Within the team they will work with Digital Engagement Managers, Comms teams, Content Designers and Delivery Managers.
What the specialist will work on
The Comms and Adoption manager will be responsible for creating comms for end users by engaging with stakeholders (users, business, project teams). They will  provide and deliver best practice communication to all our users who utilise the ServiceNow product suite. To ensure the most appropriate communication and Learning and Development material is delivered at the right time, to the right people, in the right format. These products will be created using our DWP accessibility style guides, adhering to the standards, governance, and consistency and will be working as a part of a multidisciplinary team.
WORK SETUP
Address where the work will take place
Primarily at the DWP Digital Corporate Hub2- St Peters Square, Manchester - although there may be a requirement to work from other DWP locations in the North West.
Working arrangements
Specialist will work a minimum of 40% of their time (as directed by line management) on site at the Manchester Hub. The specialist will be required to be online between the hours of 8:00AM - 17:00PM Monday to Friday
Security clearance
All suppliers must BPSS cleared and On-Shore

EXPERIENCE
Essential skills and experience
  • Experience using communication creation tools such as Canva, Adobe creative suite, Final Cut Pro, Powtoons etc. Good knowledge of using Microsoft suite essential (.e.g PowerPoint, excel, word, Teams etc.)
  • Understanding of accessibility standards and experience in crafting accessible communications
  • Superb communication and presentation skills
  • Ongoing engagement with impacted stakeholders, project overviews and demonstrations
  • Identify and work with change champion network
  • Demonstrate understanding of importance of multi-media (text, illustrations, infographics, video communications campaign. Develop to enhance comprehension and adoption of the organizational changes by the users
  • Define KPIs / Surveys for communication efficiency and impact
  • Monitor KPIs and reports to the Change Enablement Lead, Stakeholders and Process Owners
  • Awareness of the OASIS government communication framework, including comms and engagement approach
  • Ability to work with and build relationships with different stakeholders, including experience working with Executive level stakeholders, crafting strategic messages
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership for deliverables
  • Develop Communications Strategy providing project information and status updates to project sponsors, extended project team, directly and indirectly impacted stakeholders and users
  • Establish and ensure the development, distribution, maintenance, evaluation and improvement of all communications throughout the duration of the project
Nice-to-have skills and experience
  • Demonstrate experience of working in a large-scale organisation and/or Government or Public Sector. Experience of working with or in a Digital Workplace environment
  • Experience working with ServiceNow IT Service Management and Human Resource Service Delivery modules preferred
  • Awareness of the Prosci Change Management
