Must have significant experience in implementing, supporting or configuring ServiceNow products. They will have experience in defining designs for integrating ServiceNow with on-prem or cloud in areas of automation, orchestration and CMDB enrichment. They should have architecture design abilities beyond the ServiceNow platform in other application and infrastructure domains.

ABOUT THE WORK

Who the specialist will work with
The specialist will work with the existing DWP Augmented Teams. This will consist of DWP Digital staff and other 3rd party suppliers engaged in Service Now development work. They will report into the Lead Architect and will collaborate with team leads for Design, Development, Business Analysis, Testing, Delivery and Operations. They will also work with architecture and engineering colleagues in other teams across the wider DWP Digital Technology Services areas.
What the specialist will work on
The role is required to work with all areas of the DWP ServiceNow Product Delivery Unit and its consumers within the wider DWP Digital organisation to assess demand for changes, identify ServiceNow platform solution options, define ServiceNow solution requirements, determine and define integration requirements, and support the Lead Architect in maintaining overall architecture assurance and technical direction.

DWP Digital Hub sites : 2 St Peters Square, Manchester, Peel Park, Blackpool
Working arrangements
Specialist will work 5 working days per week. The specialist will be mandated to attend site 40% of their working time in line with DWP's Hybrid working policy working remotely for the remainder of their time. Days of attendance on site will be as determined by DWP management. The specialist will be required to be online between the hours of 8:00AM - 17:00PM Monday to Friday
Security clearance
All suppliers must BPSS cleared and On-Shore

EXPERIENCE
Essential skills and experience
  • ITIL Qualification or experience/skills
  • Significant experience in implementing ServiceNow in an organisation or playing a role in the operational run team
  • Experience in defining and delivering the design for integrating ServiceNow with on-prem or cloud systems
  • Experience in maintaining the security posture during design or support security risk assessments for changes to a technology platform / solution
  • Technical architecture abilities beyond the ServiceNow platform demonstrating experience in other application and infrastructure domains
  • Demonstrate that they can gain a sound understanding of an organisation’s business drivers and how to translate those into solutions on the ServiceNow platform to achieve business outcomes
  • Ensure technical quality and adherence of solution designs to the Digital Blueprints, Enterprise Architecture and Product Roadmaps
  • Demonstrate advanced toolset product knowledge across at least 3 of the product families utilised by DWP (ITSM, ITBM, FSM, SecOps SIR, GRC IRM, HR Onbaording
  • Define requirements that have been ranked as complex at the outset helping to establish High Level Designs or Interface Definitions
  • Defining integration designs between ServiceNow and corporate systems either on-prem or hosted on Public cloud technologies (AWS, Azure) particularly in the areas of automation, orchestration and CMDB data enrichment
  • Engaging presentation style, with the ability to control and manage multiple presentation scenarios, presenting to technical governance forums including design & security assurance groups and senior stakeholder groups
  • Ability to work under pressure and support multiple work streams / projects at the same time
Nice-to-have skills and experience
  • ServiceNow Certification (e.g. CSA, CTA or CMA)
  • ITIL certification
  • Amazon Connect CCaaS or equivalent
  • Architecture design and modelling techniques, patterns, tools and standards
  • Agile delivery methodologies and best practices
