The existing team is augmented with a mix of Civil Servants and other 3rd party supplier resource.
What the specialist will work on
Test Engineer: DWP are looking to engage with a supplier to provide an experienced Automation Tester to work within the existing DWP Team, to help deliver our strategic move towards continuous testing and development of the CloudFirst automated testing packs required specificallySpecialist will be highly experienced automation tester, able to deal with the design,development,testing /hardening and implementation of test packs.- Specialist will map requirements, design, and develop functional automation tests. Managing all the key dependencies for automation (environments,data,requirements, CI/CD tools etc)- Knowledge transfer to existing test team members. - Support Cloud First project delivery of key objectives
WORK SETUP
Address where the work will take place
Specialist will work within DWP Hybrid Approach of 8 working days per month in the DWP Hub office (either Manchester or Blackpool) and remainder remotely until further notice.

Security clearance
The supplier will be required to hold BPSS security clearance as a minimum.

Essential skills and experience
  • Development of automated test suites
  • Code documentation
  • Modern standards approach
  • Web application testing
  • Significant experience of desiging test packs based discussion with stakeholders
  • Significant experience of building automation packs
  • Good experience of undertaking knowledge transfer to existing teams
  • Demonstrable experience of working in a transformation project, and supporting the delivery of key milestones
  • Attend and participate in Agile ceremonies
  • The specialist will need to be a highly experienced (Practitioner level) Test Engineer
  • Day to day planning, design, and development of automation tests. Contributing towards programme milestones
  • Test team and project teams, and undertaking KT
Nice-to-have skills and experience
  • TestComplete
  • Microsoft Endpoint Manager, Office 365, and end user computing experience
  • ISTQB or equivelent experience
  • Demonstrable experience of working in a enterprise scale organisation
