Who the specialist will work with
The One Dorset PAS/Scheduling Programme Board that will oversee this work will be led by a Clinical Chief Information Officer of 1 of the 2 acute trusts.
What the specialist will work on
Expert support to develop the Outline Business Case for the Strategic Patient Administration Service (SPAS) for Dorset. The primary objective of the OBC is to review the options for the ICS as a whole resulting from the opportunity presented by the 2 Acute Trusts needing to replace PAS functionality, where current systems are no longer fit for purpose in supporting new ways of delivering patient care as an Integrated Care System.

The successful consultancy firm will use (and have experience of) a variety of methods for stakeholder engagement/mobilisation:• Workshops (online)• Stakeholder interviews• Group discussions• Questionnaires • Social MediaIt is desirable that fresh and innovative approaches are used to engage stakeholders who may be fatigued by the more traditional opinion gathering by using (inter alia) modern digital tools.

EXPERIENCE
Essential skills and experience
  • A Minimum of 5 years in NHS Informatics Strategy Consultancy
  • Evidence of producing an Outline Business Case (compliant with Treasury rules) for other NHS organisations within the last 5 years
  • Current knowledge of healthcare Informatics trends and options
  • Current knowledge of NHSx Strategy and Policy, and NHSD implementation
  • Current knowledge of Patient Administration and Scheduling market place and technical solutions and in particular extending solutions beyond traditional approaches
