ABOUT THE WORK

Who the specialist will work with
Civilian, Military and contractors within the MOD and wider Defence industry.
What the specialist will work on
Support the C4ISR Programme Manager in any reports and returns/activities that need to be completed and expected. Provide project scheduling updates in consultation with the relevant Project Manager and ensure that the appropriate project controls are in place to ensure the schedules are Defence Digital compliant.Schedules to be assured and ensure that risks/dependencies are documented within the schedule information and be able to adapt to both waterfall and agile approaches. Act as Scrum Master for Stand Up sessions and engage with the Project Managers to ensure the latest position for the Kanban Board and the priority workstreams

DD C4ISR are based at Mustang Building and Building 405, Westwells Road, MOD Corsham, SN13 9NR.
Working arrangements
The successful candidate will need to work between 4 and 5 days per week. Opportunities for some home working are available. This individual will report to the C4ISR Programme Manager in DD MIX.
Security clearance
Valid SC clearance must be in place prior to the contract starting and for the duration of the contract due to the projects the individual is required to work with.

EXPERIENCE
Essential skills and experience
  • Give an example of your Expert level usage of Microsoft Project-On-Line with experience of developing/maintaining an Integrated Master schedule (IMS) of multiple projects including linking dependencies, baselining, and tracking
  • Demonstrate recent experience of working within a large-scale IT software & hardware multi-year delivery programme in the last 5 years
  • Demonstrate experience and knowledge in Agile scheduling, including leading Scrum reporting, managing Kanban boards, representing prioritisation of work and backlogs
  • Conformation of Expertise in Schedule Risk Analysis (SRA) application and processes and presenting results to support business cases
  • Give an example of generating, analysing, and presenting accurate and current reporting including High light reports (HLR) and Business Progress Reports (BPR), etc.
  • Demonstrate experience of tracking supplier payment planning and creating financial views to support financial outcome planning (FOO)
  • Provide an example of your ability of managing project management product and artefacts and configuration control
  • Expertise of organising, preparing, and running monthly Programme Reviews with reference to the scheduling for the Programme manager
  • Give an example of your understanding regarding programme objectives and risk (use of ARM) and proactively linking these to scheduling
Nice-to-have skills and experience
  • Give recent experience of incorporating Defence ISP Agreement Plans and Demands into schedules
  • Experience of adherence to Defence EPMO scheduling policies and standards
