This team will supplement the University development staff to enable an increase in velocity for this fast-paced project.
What the specialist will work on
The University of Plymouth is seeking a supplier to work with us on a three-year project to enhance the University website. The University has some in-house development expertise and is looking to supplement that with external resource from a partner. Our requirement is to establish an Agile development team for successive two-week sprints with developers experienced in Ruby on Rails. This team will supplement the University development staff to enable an increase in velocity for this fast-paced project. It is essential that suppliers have the capacity to mobilize for the commence the project on Monday 10 January 2022.

Working arrangements
We anticipate the level of resourcing required to average at 2-3 developers for the duration of the project. Team size could either be constant for the full duration of the project, or scaled to increase capacity over a period of time. There is a preference for sprints to be conducted on site in Plymouth, but we are open to supporting remote working.

Essential skills and experience
  • Have extensive experience of Ruby on Rails

  • Evidence maximizing the deliverables and outputs from Project Budget
  • Working to a fixed budget as per above criteria
