ABOUT THE WORK

Who the specialist will work with
The Technical Architect will be working and liaising with the Principal Developer, Senior Software Developer and Senior Frontend Developer, with support from the wider internal development team and Lead Data Engineers for any work relating to existing databases. They will also be liaising with the Security Manager and potentially contacts from Home Office on the National Identity Access Management solution.

WORK SETUP
Address where the work will take place
Work will be carried out remotely, with occasional meetings at 1-6 Citadel Place, Tinworth Street, London, SE11 5EF
Working arrangements
Working arrangements to be agreed between the Principal Developer and supplier upon commencement of work. Weekly meetings at London offices as required by the project. This work is outcome based and working hours can be flexible as long as outcomes are achieved within the contract period.

EXPERIENCE
Essential skills and experience
  • Have extensive experience designing software technical architecture patterns for web-based applications
  • Have strong experience producing detailed technical architecture documentation
  • Have strong understanding and proven experience designing architectural solutions to support authentication and integration with Identity Providers using OpenID Connect protocol
  • Have strong experience redesigning legacy software architectural patterns to become Cloud ready
  • Have strong understanding of web application security and designing architectural solutions to meet stringent security requirements
  • Have excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills
  • Have strong understanding of authentication of client web applications with Azure AD and Azure AD B2C services
Nice-to-have skills and experience
  • Provide evidence of prior integration work with the Home Office National Identity Access Management solution
  • Provide evidence of knowledge of UK Policing and associated Government agencies
