CMD require a Quality Assurance Analyst to seamlessly integrate within an Agile team. Developing a testing capability. Promote/monitor continuous professional development of your organisation. Develop and support testing capability across the organisation. Create reports, engineering documentation, and best practices based on test results analysis and develop a testing capability.

Who the specialist will work with
The QA Analyst will work within a small Data Operations Team, which is part of a wider Team - Cyber Mission Data Alpha. This team consists of Authority Crown Servants, current contract supplier technical resource, and separately procured technical resource.The Cyber Mission Data Alpha team fits within the current construct of the Data as a Service function, which forms part of the wider Defence Cyber Operations.
What the specialist will work on
The Quality Assurance Analyst will be required to Create reports, engineering documentation, and best practices based on test results analysis. Also, they will be required to collaborate with Development to build robust and efficient automated test libraries and scripts.
WORK SETUP
Address where the work will take place
MOD Corsham / Working from home.
Working arrangements
5 days per week, with a mixture of working from MOD Corsham and remote working. The task will dictate the location of the work e.g. if the specialist is working at secret, then the work will be completed mainly on site. They can default to remote working but if the task dictates that they attend the office then the individual must do this.
Security clearance
Active SC clearance is required by the start date of the contract and will not be sponsored by MOD. Candidates must also be eligible for DV clearance as this will need to required for this role. Due to the clearance level required, only UK nationals can apply.

Any Personal Services Company (PSC) candidates will require to come through an umbrella company.

EXPERIENCE
Essential skills and experience
  • Bachelor’s in Computer Science/similar field with 3+ years’ experience in QA Analyst/similar role
  • Good knowledge of Python, Pyspark & SQL/NoSQL
  • Solid understanding of integrating test automation into CICD pipeline
  • Experience in delivering on all testing for any test phase
  • Experience in Creating & Maintaining scalable and robust test automation frameworks
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Data engineering/manipulation
  • Experience building data pipelines at scale using a range of toolsets. Advise on data engineering practices, lead data exploration by identifying/setting best practice
  • Identify future innovation opportunities
  • Test Analyst innovation. You’re a leader in your organisation. Identify future areas of innovation and can show how it can be applied to an organisation and wider government
  • Developing a testing capability. Outline how you promote/monitor continuous development of your organisation to support the testing capability across the organisation
  • Create reports, engineering documentation, and best practices based on test results analysis
  • Collaborate with Development to build robust and efficient automated test libraries and scripts
  • Ability to seamlessly integrate within an existing Agile delivery team
  • Previous experience working within a defensive cyber security environment
  • An existing portfolio with demonstrates aptitude and skills
  • Taking ownership of the quality of the final product, raising issues and feeding back as necessary
  • Programming and build - Outline how you design, code, test, correct and document moderate-to-complex programs/scripts from agreed specifications, using agreed standards and tools whilst collaborating with others
  • Analyse complex designs and features with their usage models to plan, design, document, maintain, automate and execute test case scenarios
Nice-to-have skills and experience
  • Experience of working in an Agile project delivery environment
