What the specialist will work on
We have developed a fully working PowerBI tool using our in-house team, but we are now looking for a specialist PowerBI designer/developer to help us: • make the interface more user-friendly • add more analytical functionality • join 2 parts of the tool seamlessly (numerical data + text based data) The scope of work for the specialist will include the following technical tasks: • PowerBI coding in DAX, R and M, for query manipulation and dynamic filtering • Analysis within PowerBI, using analysis Services (or equivalent) • PowerBI visualisations, including custom visualisations • Linking PowerBI to data storage systems

Due to covid-19 we expect the specialist to work from home, however our office in Canary Wharf may be open for use.

EXPERIENCE
Essential skills and experience
  • Have experience in coding in DAX, M and R
  • Have experience in use of Analysis Services
  • Have experience in designing custom visuals for PowerBI
  • Have experience in designing complex PowerBI models, with datasets from a wide range of sources
  • Have experience in rapid prototyping and working with constantly evolving requirements (e.g. Agile projects, or similar)
Nice-to-have skills and experience
  • Have experience in coding in Python
  • Have experience in previous work relating to UK railways or transport
