EXPERIENCE
Essential skills and experience
- Experience of managing project plans, tracking and report progress using Microsoft Project Online
- Understanding of the management of plans and schedules at different hierarchical levels through consolidation or using Integrated Master Schedules experience of integrating external supplier plans into project/programme plans
- Experience in performing schedule risk and impact analysis with a detailed understanding of critical path analysis, schedule integrity and progress reporting
- Experience in developing and managing fully resourced schedules using WBS/PBS (including resource loading and levelling to actively manage workload and over or under allocations)
- Understanding of planning for technically complex large-scale IT projects and programmes
- Must have detailed understanding of standard project management principles and techniques (e.g. APM, MSP, Prince2, PMI)
- Understand dependency linking (internal & external dependencies)
- Ability to produce adhoc management information (MI) and brief management to enable informed decisions using the MI
- Experience of Risk Management, including risk identification, evaluation and use of the ARM tool including the exploitation of the tool for specific reports and MI
- Hold qualifications in risk management
- Experience of working within Defence on International Programmes to generate Integrated Master Schedules
Nice-to-have skills and experience
- Experience in coaching to the project teams to enable them to work more effectively with minimum direct planner support, hence improving overall efficiency
