Building key messages making it accessible and translating technical/programme terminology into clear English. Working with NLEDP Programme and LEDS Policy on the comms content collation and creation.

Who the specialist will work with
Reporting to the Business Engagement Manager , you will be the ‘Hub’ team member responsible for planning stakeholder communications and creating comms collateral and content and planning engagements in the wider sense (i.e. outside of the regional change stakeholder manager activity). Working with a G7 and HEO comms officer to develop communications for our stakeholders. Working with Regional change Managers to develop comms for them to disseminate.
What the specialist will work on
A communications specialist with experience of stakeholder analysis to gather and respond to audience insights. They will be responsible for Information Content Publishing, content design and development of a digital channel on Knowledge hub and public facing gov.uk to launch LEDS in the public domain. Develop from existing materials, user-focused messages with the ability to translate technical and language into plain English for public consumption. They will develop and deliver integrated communication plans across a range of digital channels to ensure that communication is ongoing, open and clear.
WORK SETUP

Bernard Weatherill House, 8 Mint Walk, Croydon, CR0 1EA There will also be a requirement to work at Home Office, 2 Marsham Street, London SW1P 4DF.
Working arrangements
A typical working day is 9am-5pm, however working outside of these hours may be required due to business/project need. The role requires flexibility as individuals may be required to work at any of the Customer premises and/or at supplier sites. This will be mostly office based in Croydon and London but you can work from home one day a week, this will be negotiable and not a fixed day every week. Flex as the business needs arise.
Security clearance
Preference is for an SC cleared candidate who may also hold NPPV3. Home Office may consider sponsoring exceptional candidates who do not hold SC but are willing to undergo the SC clearance process.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Additional terms and conditions
T&S will not be payable for travel to sites within the M25. Travel outside of the M25 will be subject to HO T&S policy .

Essential skills and experience
  • Have experience of researching and evaluating audience insights
  • Marketing & Information content publishing
  • Excellent communication skills - both written and oral and ability to influence stakeholders
  • Proven track record of developing, implementing and evaluating creative impactful communications
  • Confident and skilled at working with stakeholders to support story generation
  • Ability to translate technical language into easy digestible information for audiences
  • Experience of developing user focused messages, measurement techniques and communication approaches
  • Able to establish and deliver integrated communication plans across a range of digital channels to ensure that communication is ongoing, open and clear
Nice-to-have skills and experience
  • Experience of working with law enforcement agencies, Home Office programmes would be an advantage
