Summary of the work
The successful applicant will collaborate with an existing team to develop, iterate and maintain Standard Extracts (SE) of NPD data. You will also develop processes to ensure smooth handover to the BAU team - based upon clear acceptance criteria - so the current team can create and maintain SE.

What the specialist will work on
The work around Standard Extracts (SE) of National Pupil Database data is complex and challenging. At this stage of the project we are looking to continually increase confidence levels around SE before we make them available for researchers to request. The research and testing to date has given us a high level of confidence that SE can be successful. Testing amongst users strongly suggests the concept of SE and our proposed approach (and content) are sound. The sucessful applicant will collaborate with an existing team to develop, iterate and maintain Standard Extracts (SE) of NPD data.

Sheffield - St Pauls Place
Working arrangements
Working with an agile team in St Pauls Place. We would expect the successful applicant to spend the majority of time working in St Pauls Place. Travel to other sites, such as Darlington, will be requirde on occasion.

  • Experience of agile ways of working
  • Ability to explain complex data issues to wide range of stakeholders - including those not experienced in data.

  • Experience in academic research
