ABOUT THE WORK

Who the specialist will work with
The post holder will work closely with and report to the Civil Service Senior Project Manager. They will have support from project support staff and colleagues within the team. They will need to work closely alongside Business Change Managers, Portfolio Director and Business Analyst. The team covers all capabilities from Technical to business change.
What the specialist will work on
The post holder will be responsible for the project management of Infrastructure readiness of the EUS Programme. This looks to complete preparations required for user migrations to occur between current and target domains (including but not limited to application packaging/onboarding and AD/Exchange migration).

London, Westminster. Mostly based at Globe House, 89 Eccleston Square, London, SW1V 1PN
Working arrangements
The post holder will in the main be required to be based on site but there may also be a requirement to visit other HMPO locations throughout the UK and visit supplier sites in London. There will be considerable senior management and external stakeholder interface. They will need to be self-managing and self-starting but able to contribute to and help build team working. Problem solving and presentation / influencing skills will be essential.
Security clearance
SC Clearance is required. HM Passport Office will support the clearance process.

We expect this engagement to be outside IR35, however status is assessed on a case-by-case basis. Standard Government Terms and Conditions for Expenses as covered in the DOS Contract.

EXPERIENCE
Essential skills and experience
  • Desktop Migration - Experience of managing desktop migration projects with particular focus on delivering AD and exchange migrations between separated domains.
  • Project Management – apply appropriate planning and progress monitoring tools to support IT development and deployment.
  • Governance – effective reporting and escalation through the project governance process including risks, issues, dependencies, progress and budgets.
  • Have existing valid Home Office SC Clearance or willing to undergo SC clearance. Must provide evidence of both at evaluation stage.
Nice-to-have skills and experience
  • Recent experience of working in HMPO / Home Office or similar regulated Government environment.
