Following the meeting of the original BIM Level 2 target and building on the foundation it provides, the Environment Agency is embarking on further change. Digital Asset Data and Information has been underway since 2016. It consists of a number of interdependent projects, ranging in size and complexity, delivering specific capability aimed at enabling digital connectivity across the asset management lifecycle. DADI has delivered a number of capabilities around data specification, standards and independent automated validation of data delivered by supply chain delivery partners from new infrastructure assets. The next phase will extend data specification and delivery to a wider range of business processes. A key element will be scoping the delivery of an integrated data platform to support data management and exploitation with technologies such as machine learning.Knowledge and application of BIM and ISO19650 standards along with construction and asset management knowledge, construction related contracts and processes pertaining to open standards, data management, building capability to get data right at source, validating on receipt, storing and integrating data within the business systems is essential to our onward development. |
Who the specialist will work with |
There is a full Business and where appropriate an IT Team in place for this work. This will work with and on behalf of the Business team but will work closely with subject matter experts, business leads, data architects and IT specialists. |
What the specialist will work on |
Provide technical programme and project management services and co-ordination using expert knowledge and advice for delivery of the interrelated projects within the scope of Digital Asset Data and Information to achieve the overall digital capability across the whole life asset management from inception, construction, handover, maintenance and operations. Drawing on expertise of BIM, ISO19650 and data integration. |
