ABOUT THE WORK

Who the specialist will work with
Working with various stakeholder within an NHS organisation including Finance and Procurement departments, ultimately reporting back to the Assistant Director of Finance.
What the specialist will work on
1. Process map all aspects of the ERP solution currently in use specifically but not limited to:- a. Procure to Pay b. Account/Record to Report c. Order to Cash 2. Review all current BAU processes within the Trust, noting that some processes are performed in multiple ways (new processes being rolled out, e.g. cloudtrade, eprocurement, xcel uploader (AR invoices)). 3. Alignment of current process against industry best practice identifying improvements and efficiencies that can be made. 4. For avoidance of doubt areas included, but not limited to are: a. Capital Accounting b. Cash Management c. All feeder systems and files

Working arrangements
A BA is required for a period of the 3 months. The Trust would like assurance that the BA that starts the work, finishes the work, and there is no change in personnel in order to maintain continuity. If a BA leaves before end of the project then the Trust would have to consider paying only a x% of outstanding invoices where there has been a break in service delivery.

EXPERIENCE
Essential skills and experience
  • Have experience in delivering Business Analyst services in line with ERP systems
  • Have knowledge and experience of process mapping using ERP systems
  • Demonstrate experience in knowledge transfer of support processes and process mapping principles to existing finance and procurement departments
Nice-to-have skills and experience
  • To have worked with ABS efinancials system in a previous role
