Essential skills and experience
- Experience of being familiar with Government IT procurement exercises and be able to produce procurement documents
- Experience of having significant knowledge of software development, programming languages and technology
- Experience of being able to understand business requirements and to then translate and action to a IT technological output
- Experience where they have proven to have the ability to talk to internal and external teams to outline expectations and work within timelines leading to successful outcomes
- Experience where they have taken responsibility for the creation of test cases, create traceability records from test cases back to requirements
- Experience in writing acceptance criteria, carrying out acceptance testing to validate technical designs and developments
- Experience of understanding how to ensure that teams are using the right tools and methodologies and promote their use
- Experience of working on complex projects with multiple interdependencies
- Experience of encouraging business teams to make difficult decisions, leading and influencing discussions to drive change forward
- Experience of working in an environment that handles sensitive data
- Experience of being able to investigative work into problems and opportunities in existing and new services, create recommendations for service improvements, analyse large amounts of complex information producing solutions
Nice-to-have skills and experience
- Experience in creating transport models through software development
- Experience of working with government analyst, such as statisticians or economists
- BCS Diploma in Business Analysis
