Summary of the work
Business Analyst is needed to carry out fact finding tasks, analyse findings and recommend solutions/improvements, assist with user research tasks/usability testing, develop user journeys, process maps and specifications, develop user stories and acceptance criteria, oversee testing and quality checks and contribute to agile ceremonies, backlog refinement and sprint planning.

You will work with the following: - Service Owner, Product Owner, Delivery Manager, Team (incl. Technical Architect, Designer, User Researcher, Stakeholder Manager, Developers, Test Lead, Support Team Lead) - Stakeholders (internal and external) across the health and care workforce - Third party suppliers
What the specialist will work on
A Business Analyst is needed to work on a national learning platform, in an agile team, to: - carry out fact finding tasks, analyse the findings and recommend solutions and improvements - assist with user research tasks, or usability testing, where required - develop detailed user journeys, process maps and specifications - develop well defined user stories and acceptance criteria - oversee testing and quality checks - contribute to agile ceremonies, backlog refinement and sprint planning. This requires a hands on business analyst to work in an agile service team undertaking varied tasks day to day.
WORK SETUP
Address where the work will take place
It is anticipated that the successful supplier will be able to work remotely but some meetings may also need to take place face to face. Address: Stewart House in London and/or Blenheim House in Leeds.
Working arrangements
The individual will report to the Product Owner and be expected to attend any virtual or face-to-face meetings as standard.

EXPERIENCE
Essential skills and experience
  • Evidence of experience in Business Analysis - gathering needs and analysing information using comprehensive tools and techniques
  • Evidence of business process modelling, analysis and design skills
  • Process re-design and optimisation and mapping of user journeys. Producing As-Is and To-Be business process models
  • Evidence of strong stakeholder management skills, and the ability to communicate and build relationships effectively with a broad range of people, both verbal and in writing
  • Demonstrable experience of working with development teams in an Agile delivery setup, creating User Stories, maintaining and prioritising Product backlog and roadmap with Product Owner
  • Demonstrable experience of acting as conduit between development team and stakeholders in translating requirements into both technical and non-technical speak/language to facilitate communications and engagement
  • Demonstrable experience in writing acceptance criteria, carrying out acceptance testing to validate technical designs and developments
  • Ability to think critically and identify assumptions and ask challenging questions with an unbiased approach
Nice-to-have skills and experience
  • Experience of GDS guidelines and principles
  • Experience working in Agile environment using SCRUM or other Agile frameworks
  • Previous experience working with Public Sector clients or the NHS
